Before I knew it, it was day three and we were almost there. We had a little bit of Kansas left to ride through before hitting the Colorado state line. Let me just tell you... you don't know bugs until you ride a motorcycle through Kansas. They were so big and they hurt so bad when they hit you. It was horrible!!! If you have not seen Wild Hogs yet, you absolutely need to rent it!! It doesn't matter if you are not a motorcycle rider, it's still a hilarious movie! There's a part in it when they are all 4 riding down the road and everyone but Travolta gets hit with a bunch of bugs. They are splattered everywhere. As Travolta rides up next to them, he sees bug guts splattered everywhere and starts laughing at them. Just as he turns back to face the road, he gets hit in the head with this big black bird. Why am I talking about this movie you ask? Well, because here we are riding along in the middle of Nowhere, KS and getting hit with all of these bugs and here came this black bird out of nowhere and swooped down on my head!!!! I had to duck to keep him from hitting me!!! My dad was laughing so hard. At the next stop, he said all he could picture was that scene in the movie. We laughed so hard!! Not much longer after the black bird incident, I could hear dad rolling the throttle and he came up beside me. We rode across the Colorado state line side by side. It was absolutely awesome. Just one of those moments you know you'll never forget. Both of us partly wanted to stop for a picture, but I'm kind of glad we didn't. It was really cool to have that memory of riding side by side over the state line like that! Again, enough talking - here are some more pictures with captions when you hover over them with your mouse.

I actually rode the elevator to get to the perch to capture this picture of all 7 falls. Everett, Dad, Lisa, Harlee, Shelby and I all did the steps to the top of the falls. Eric took this from the perch when we were half way up. The three stooges waiting for our Cave of the Winds tour.
